Hello, it’s nice to meet you
I’m Erin – a writer, editor, travel-obsessed tea addict, music and theatre fan, advocate for arts education and supporter of childfree women.
If you want to know more about me as a writer, keep reading; but if you want to know more about my advocacy for childfree women, click here.
I’ve written my fair share of content in my roles as a freelance journalist since 2003 and also as an in-house content writer and editor for four years at Ten Group (2013-2016).
My work has been published in specialist music magazines (Maverick and Acoustic) and also used by Proper Records, as well as to represent the concierge arms of luxury bank accounts supplied by Coutts, Citi, Amex, ANZ and Barclays, amongst others.
My back-catalogue includes almost 300 articles, reviews, blog posts and specialist guides covering music, theatre, film, travel, food and childfree living; plus 60 destination guides featuring over 1,250 global attractions. I also have experience with a sprinkling of website copy, press releases, event programmes and book editing.
In my in-house content marketing role, as well as writing and editing, I conducted quarterly content audits, produced content plans and project managed the global expansion of the company’s Entertainment content offering – a project I relished taking ownership of. I also coached new members of the team, spent time in international offices to train staff and ensure a united vision, and was the single point of contact globally, for entertainment and arts-related content.
Following redundancy from Ten Group at the end of 2016, when the content team was moved to Cape Town, I ran my own business as a content marketing mentor for creative businesses until mid-2021. I worked with clients via in-person sessions, as well as supporting them with content planning, editing, virtual coaching calls, accountability and brainstorming sessions. This allowed them to understand and confidently use content consistently across multiple platforms, whilst maintaining the flexible lifestyle they wanted.
I believe that well-written copy can create a lasting impression, and ideas can be found in unexpected places, if you know where to look and how to tell a story.
Since creating an online subscription for childfree women, I have come to experience first-hand, the power of creating a sense of inclusion and the value of finding multiple angles for a story, to allow you to reach new audiences. I have secured PR features in The Telegraph, Newsweek and Metro, had a letter published by The Sunday Times, been a guest on BBC Radio Surrey, as well as the Midlife Mentors and Claiming Zero podcasts, and written articles for Female First and We Are the City.
So, if you’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and who loves to be immersed in a topic to create great content, then I’m the writer for you.

When I’m not writing, you’re most likely to find me at a restaurant, concert or the theatre. Or I may be on my yoga mat, watching films, seeking out new teas to try, dreaming of building an oak-framed house in the New Forest, or planning my next holiday.
